Honda Amaze Ace Updates

Honda Cars India has released a teaser image for the upcoming 3rd generation Honda Amaze, a compact sedan aimed at young buyers and modern consumers. The new model is expected to debut by the end of 2024 and will feature an all-new design inspired by current Honda sedans, along with an updated interior layout and more features. I believe this refresh will help the Amaze maintain its competitive edge in the Indian market.

The next-gen Honda Amaze is set to use a modified version of the platform that underpins the Honda City and Elevate SUV, with a wheelbase similar to the current Amaze. It will retain the 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine, producing 90 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with manual and CVT gearbox options. I think this engine choice will ensure the Amaze remains fuel-efficient and reliable.

The third-generation Honda Amaze is expected to have significant interior upgrades, including a better-integrated infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a physical AC control panel, and LED interior lighting. The car may also offer leatherette seats with electric adjustments for the driver’s seat. I think these updates will significantly enhance the driving and passenger experience.

Honda Cars India plans to launch the new-gen Amaze during the festive season, likely by the end of 2024. The new model will focus on key selling points such as affordability, reliability, and low maintenance, while also featuring improved safety tech, including a better-optimized ACE body structure and additional airbags. I believe these enhancements will make the Amaze a strong contender in the compact sedan segment.

Honda has confirmed that the global debut of the new Amaze will be pushed to December 2024, making it the companys only new model launch for India this year. The new Amaze will be designed to be more premium and feature-rich, competing directly with other popular compact sedans like the Maruti Dzire. I believe this delayed launch will allow Honda to fine-tune the model for a stronger market impact.
