Ford Freestyle Diesel Titanium Updates

Ford has announced that it will stop production of its locally sold models, including the Ford Freestyle Diesel Titanium, due to its decision to exit the Indian market. The current lineup will be available for sale until stocks last, and the company will continue to support existing owners. I believe this move will be a significant loss for Ford enthusiasts in India.

The Ford Freestyle 1.5 TDCi Titanium+ has been praised for its performance and fuel efficiency. Owners have reported real-world mileage of up to 27.5 km/l on highways when driven sensibly. The engine and gearbox combo is highly regarded for its smooth and responsive performance. I believe the diesel variant is a great choice for those who prioritize both power and fuel efficiency.

The Ford Freestyle Flair Edition, based on the Titanium+ variant, was launched in India in August 2020. This special edition comes in both petrol and diesel options and is priced starting from Rs. 7.69 lakh for the petrol and Rs. 8.79 lakh for the diesel variant. I think this edition added a nice touch of sportiness to the Freestyle lineup.

The Ford Freestyle was officially launched in India on April 26, 2018, marking Fords entry into the compact utility vehicle (CUV) segment. The vehicle is based on the Figo hatchback and offers a unique blend of hatchback and SUV features. I believe the Freestyle filled a niche market well with its unique design and capabilities.

The Ford Freestyle Titanium 1.5 TDCi features a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque. It also comes with class-leading safety features, including six airbags in the Titanium+ variant. I think the safety features and powerful engine make it a compelling option in its segment.
