Ford has announced that it will stop production of its locally sold models, including the Ford Figo, but will continue to support existing owners for the next 10 years. The current lineup will be available for sale until stocks last. The Figo is priced between Rs 5.82 lakh and Rs 8.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). I believe this move will make the Figo a more attractive option in the used car market.

The 2019 Ford Figo facelift was launched in India with significant updates, including new petrol engines, a revised front and rear design, and an updated cabin. The car is available in various trims, including the Titanium and Titanium Blu, and is priced from Rs 5.15 lakh. I think the new engines and features make it a strong contender in the hatchback segment.

Ford introduced the Figo AT variant in India, priced between Rs 7.75 lakhs and Rs 8.20 lakhs (ex-showroom). The automatic transmission is available only in the Titanium variant. This addition makes the Figo more appealing to those looking for convenience without compromising on performance. I believe the automatic option will attract more buyers who prefer ease of driving in urban conditions.

The 2019 Ford Figo facelift includes several cosmetic and safety upgrades, such as a new 7-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlamps. However, it lacks features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Despite this, the Figo remains a compelling buy due to its improved engines and transmissions. I think the balance between price and features makes it a good choice for budget-conscious buyers.

When the Ford Figo was first launched in 2010, it was priced competitively between Rs 3.49 lakh and Rs 5.29 lakh, which was a pleasant surprise for many. The car was well-received for its robust build, good air conditioning, and basic but functional infotainment system. I believe the initial pricing strategy played a significant role in its success in the Indian market.
