Chevrolet Beat LS (Petrol) Updates

Latest Updates
Sunday, 31 December 2017 03:33 PM Chevrolet India announced that it would discontinue sales of all its products, including the Chevrolet Beat, in India effective December 31, 2017. This decision was part of the companys strategy to utilize its Indian facilities for export markets only. The Beat, including the LS Petrol variant, was one of the models affected by this decision. I believe this move was a significant blow to Chevrolets presence in the Indian market.
Saturday, 01 July 2017 07:27 AM In July 2017, Chevrolet was set to launch an updated version of the Beat hatchback in India, which would have included the LS Petrol variant. This update was expected to feature Chevrolets latest MyLink infotainment system, supporting Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, along with other cosmetic and interior changes. However, this launch did not materialize as planned due to the companys decision to exit the Indian market. I think the updated features would have made the Beat a more competitive option in the hatchback segment.
Thursday, 18 May 2017 11:07 PM The Chevrolet Beat LS Petrol was priced at Rs. 4.29 Lakh, making it a mid-range option in the Beat lineup. This variant came with features such as front power windows, steering mounted controls, and an integrated music system, which were seen as value additions over the base model. I believe these features made the LS Petrol a good balance between price and amenities.
Tuesday, 08 December 2009 12:37 AM The Chevrolet Beat LS Petrol was powered by a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 79 bhp at 6200 rpm and 106 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm. This engine was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and offered an ARAI-certified mileage of 18.6 kmpl. I think this engine provided a decent blend of performance and fuel efficiency for its class.
Monday, 07 December 2009 07:37 PM The Chevrolet Beat, including the LS Petrol variant, was known for its unique design elements such as the rear-door handle placed next to the C-pillar and a superbike-inspired instrument cluster. These design features were part of what made the Beat stand out in the Indian hatchback market. I believe the design was one of the strong points of the vehicle.
