It is a mid-segment 125cc commuter which targets at working executives where it incorportaes trendy styling which can easily appeal to every person. It offers a typical commuter-style upright riding position, with middle-set foot pegs and wide handlebars, which minimizes wrist and back stress, thereby improving comfort while riding for long duration. Engine noise is barely audible. The seating is nice for both the occupants and one can easily travel long distances on it without much stopping. It offers a mileage of around 50 kmpl, I know it is a bit less according to a commuter bike but its performance compensate for the mileage. It has been 4 years after I bought the bike, the engine still runs like the new one and the bike still reaches a top speed of 100 kmph. The motorcycle is easy to handle in heavy traffic and can handle with small gaps quite easily. As far as Indian roads and bumpers are concerned, its ground clearance is poor.
Best Features: Good handling
Pros: Sporty styling, good handling, excellent mileage, classy transmission, awesome engine refinement
Cons: No trip meter, low ground clearance
I choose Yamaha SS125 without any second opinion. I can't suggest anyone to buy this bike now because its production is discontinued. But if you want to go for second hand Yamaha, I will recommend it strongly. It is one of the best value for money motorcycle. It provides many quality features at a very affordable price. It is suitable for any age group who just want a reliable bike with both style and right balance of power. Well, I am using it for daily office commute and I have covered 5000 kms on it. It returns me 50+ mileage in city and around 60-63 kmpl on long drives. Till now, I have reached a 105 top speed and I can comfortably ride it at 80+ speed with pillion. After 60+ speed, it vibrates. I always clean wheel chain after every 700 kms and change oil in routine, so this is no more the problem in my case. The engine runs smoothly on 5th gear, it produce sound at low speed. At the end, my fare advice is just take a test drive and decide you ride accordingly.
Best Features: Value for Money
Pros: Price, Mileage, Comfort, Easy handling
Cons: Engine sound at low speed, Vibration beyond 60

Best Features: Disc Brake
Pros: Excellent Handling and Suspension
Cons: Lack of trip meter
Awesome handling.. Braking is just mind blowing... Not a moment one feels lack of confidence regarding control of the bike... In short... Where a wheel can roll this bike can definitely reach...
Best Features: Handling and braking
Pros: Almost Everything
Cons: Sixth gear missing and not DC powered
