Honda Hornet Repsol Edition Updates

The Honda Hornet 2.0 Repsol Edition retains the same mechanical specifications as the standard model but stands out with its MotoGP-inspired graphics and color scheme. It is powered by an 184.4cc single-cylinder engine producing 17 bhp and 15.9 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. I think the addition of Repsol graphics gives it a unique and sporty look.

Honda’s Managing Director, President & CEO, Tsutsumu Otani, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating that the Repsol Editions are a tribute to the MotoGP spirit and aimed at amplifying the excitement among Indian fans for the inaugural BharatGP. The editions are available at all Honda Red Wing dealerships across India. I think this move will help Honda connect better with the racing community in India.

The Dio 125 Repsol Edition comes with several notable features, including an LED headlamp, digital instrument console, Honda’s Smart Key, and a three-step adjustable rear suspension. It is powered by a 123.92cc engine that delivers 8.2 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque. The scooter also boasts orange-finished alloy wheels and a blacked-out dual-tip muffler. I believe these features make it a stylish and practical choice for scooter enthusiasts.

The Hornet 2.0 Repsol Edition and Dio 125 Repsol Edition are each priced about Rs 1,000 more than their respective top variants. Despite the lack of mechanical changes, the aesthetic updates significantly enhance their visual appeal. Both models feature all-LED lighting and other premium features. I believe the slight price increase is justified by the unique design elements.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the 2023 Repsol Editions of the Hornet 2.0 and Dio 125, priced at Rs 1.40 lakh and Rs 92,300 respectively, ahead of India’s inaugural MotoGP race. These special editions feature a dual-tone Ross White and Vibrant Orange color scheme inspired by the Repsol Honda MotoGP bikes. The designs include Repsol racing stripes and iconic branding. I believe these editions will be a hit among MotoGP fans in India.
