Vehicle Overview
Bajaj Pulsar RS400 would be the next big thing for the Indian motorcycle manufacturer, most probably serving as the flagship motorcycle in the coming time. It will be truly based on the RS200 in terms of design and may carry the same frame as Dominar 400 for better rigidity. The engine would be shared with the KTM family, most probably producing around 40+ BHP and 35 Nm of torque from the liquid cooled and fuel injected motor. The best part would be its high rpm limit, making it a hard revving model when compared to the Dominar 400. It would rival KTM RC 390 and other motorcycles with 300+cc of engine displacement.Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is an expected model that has been spotted on test many times in India. The motorcycle has been even caught with its moniker 'RS400' stamped clearly on the rear half. It would be carrying the KTM derived 373.3cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine that has even been shared in the recently launched Dominar 400. The engine is expected to retain the 35 Nm of torque but would produce a higher BHP for the typical Pulsar effect. It will rival none other than upcoming TVS Akula 310, BMW G310R and Mahindra Mojo in its segment.Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Demon Black Edition was launched on the BS3 compliant variant of the flagship Pulsar. It came with an ABS version and last retailed for INR 1,33,800. The bike came in Black shade and carried Red and Grey inserts on its front and side panels. It is powered by the the same 199.5 cc, single cylinder engine producing 24.2 BHP at 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm at 8000 rpm. It claimed a top speed of 140.8 kmph while took just 9.92 seconds for 0-100 kmph. Bajaj Pulsar RS200 rivaled Yamaha R15, KTM 200 Duke, Yamaha FZ25 and Honda CBR150R around its price segment.
