| Yamaha Fazer8 is a middleweight sports tourer that is based on the liter class FZ series but carries a 779 cc, 4-cylinder engine. Fazer8 is good for 104.8 BHP at 10000 rpm and 82 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox while the motorcycle weighs 215 kg. Yamaha claims a top speed of 225 kmph for the Fazer while braking power comes front dual front 310 mm disc brakes at the front and 267 mm single disc at the rear. It comes with a 17 liter fuel tank and uses ZR spec tyres for added road grip. It is an expected model for the Indian market as once launched, it would rival Kawasaki Z800 and Triumph Street Triple in the country. | Yamaha Fazer 250, the faired motorcycle is purely based on FZ25, carrying the same 249cc, fuel injected engine producing 20.69 BHP and 20 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle was first expected with a dual headlight design but soon, spy shots of the same carrying a single headlight started arriving. Fans are disappointed up to some extent as Fazer series was known for its amazing design while practicality can even be achieved from the current design. Both the quarter liter motorcycles (FZ25 and Fazer 25) carry INR 10,000 of price difference and exactly identical yet highly practical frame under their visible body types. | ||
