BMW is working on a new air-cooled GS model, which is expected to be more off-road capable than the Urban G/S. This new bike will likely use the R 12 nineT platform and feature a 21-inch front wheel, similar to the HP2 Enduro. It will have a simpler design with less emphasis on advanced technology, potentially making it more affordable. I believe this could be a great move for BMW, catering to those who prefer a more traditional off-road experience.

The new BMW R 12 platform has been expanded to include a cruiser model, alongside the R 12 nineT. The R 12 cruiser uses the same 1,170 cc air- and oil-cooled boxer engine but is down-tuned to 95 hp at 6,500 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The bike features a new tubular steel main frame, alloy wheels, and twin radially-mounted four-piston brake calipers. I think BMWs attempt to enter the cruiser market with this model is intriguing, but it remains to be seen how it will be received.
