New Estilo Launched!!
Monday, August 04, 2008
The decade old Maruti Suzuki Zen was replaced by a re-designed tall boy and rechristened as Maruti Suzuki Zen Estilo. Zen was the first Maruti Suzuki to be officially discontinued from production, and Maruti had chosen to keep the Zen branding alive with the Estilo when they launched the car in 2006 to keep maintain continuity from the original ‘Jellybean-design’ Zen which was launched way back in May 1993 but Zen Estilo didn't managed to do so.
Now, Maruti India has come up with a refreshed New Estilo which looks much better than the outgoing model with new headlamps, grille and bumpers. Interiors have also been spruced up to give it a upmarket look with all beige theme.

About Zen Estilo Sports
Maruti also tried to boost sales of slow selling Estilo with the launch of a sports model. They are trying to woo customers with few additional features and little exterior changes (graphic only).
Main Additional features were:
1) New Body Graphics on sides.
2) Chrome tipped muffler extension.
3) Factory fitted CD-MP3 player with four speakers.
4) New color combination for Intrument cluster & Centre console.
5) AC louvres get a silver ring.
6) Wheel covers are sportier.
7) New Fabric for seats.
Other than this there was no major change in design and engine. Though it is a sports edition Maruti could have tried to fit the Swift's petrol engine to give it a power boost.
Last gen Zen Estilo was available in eight colours offering vivid and chromatic colours. The company chosed interesting colours like Purple Fusion, Champagne Beige, Virgin Blue and Olive Green for Zen, to go with the car’s stylish image.
