About
The Mahindra Electric REVA NXR, later known as the Mahindra e2o, is a compact electric car designed for urban mobility. It is a substantial improvement over its predecessor, the REVAi, with better styling and more modern features. The e2o is equipped with a digital instrument panel, navigation system, 4-speaker JBL stereo, reversing camera, keyless entry, and projector headlamps. It boasts a smooth and silent drivetrain, with an initially brisk acceleration and good handling due to the low placement of the battery pack. Although it has a limited top speed of 50 mph and a range of about 60 miles, the e2o is well-suited for short urban trips and offers significant environmental benefits, making it a viable option for those looking for an eco-friendly and cost-effective commuter vehicle in India.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Electric REVA NXR, later rebranded as the Mahindra e2o, is a significant step forward in Indias electric vehicle market. While it may not appeal to everyone due to its unique, narrow, and upright styling, it offers a smooth and silent driving experience that is hard to match with its gasoline-powered counterparts. The cars handling is commendable, thanks to the low placement of the battery pack, and it comes equipped with modern features like a digital instrument panel, navigation system, 4-speaker JBL stereo, reversing camera, keyless entry, and projector headlamps. However, the cars performance is limited, with a top speed of 50 mph and a range of about 60 miles on a full charge. Despite these limitations and the challenges posed by Indias unreliable power grid, the e2o remains a competitive and environmentally friendly option for urban commuting.
Price
The Mahindra e2o, which is the successor to the REVA NXR, was priced around Rs 4.76 lakh ex-showroom. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes and other charges, the price can go up to around Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. While this may seem steep compared to the extremely affordable options like the Tata Nano, which starts at around Rs 2.4 lakh, the e2o offers a unique set of features and the benefits of an electric vehicle. For those looking for an eco-friendly and modern urban commuter, the e2os price is justifiable, especially considering the long-term savings on fuel and maintenance.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 12:02 AM
The Mahindra e2o offers a mileage of about 60 miles on a full charge, which is relatively modest compared to some of its international counterparts. However, for urban commuting, this range is often sufficient, especially given the typical short distances traveled within city limits. The running costs are significantly lower than those of gasoline-powered cars, making it an attractive option for those who prioritize fuel efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Mahindra Electric REVA NXR Discussion
this is a real Eco friendly car, looking so good and muscular. I try to got it. Please quote the price and running capacity of battery.
I strongly believe that there is an error in the price quoted here. The price would hover between 4-5 lakhs.....So do not worry ....your query gets resolved
Responsible people who cares for the environment would want to go for electric car, if these kind of pricing is done, it wont encourage anyone go for this car, left with no choice to go for cheaper petrol cars
