Mahindra and Mahindra Limited was founded in 1945 and is a multinational automobile manufacturing company of India. It is a part of Mahindra Group and has its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is counted among the top automobile manufacturing companies and established itself as a great competitor in passenger cars and big vehicles. Mahindra Genio DC is a double cargo cab which was recently launched and immediately harnessed positive reviews. It has many exciting features and also provides a powerful performance. It can carry a large amount of cargo and can simultaneously accommodate up to five people comfortably over a long journey.
The exterior of Mahindra Genio DC gives a stylish, streamlined and masculine look with strongly designed front grille, a well-aligned, wide and large flat-bed cargo box for easy and comfortable loading and unloading and to provide a payload of 1100kgs, classy clear lens Follow Me Home headlamps with stylish indicators and an electronic headlamp levelling device for correct aiming irrespective of the load, a large bonnet, black colored bumper with large air dam, a sophisticated high gloss metallic paint job, 15-inch wheels with radial tuneless tires, bigger black colored ORVMs for great rear visibility, a high mounted stop lamp for easy manoeuvrability in hilly areas and to keep check on cargo during the night time and clearly visible rear brake lights. The MUV has an overall length of 5175mm, width of 1840mm and height of 1870mm as its dimensions while the cargo box has a length of 1500mm, width of 1600mm and height of 500mm as its dimensions. It has a large wheelbase of 3200mm for a particularly stable ride and a minimum ground clearance of 200mm for a bump-free ride. It has a minimum turning radius of 6.15m for easy cruising in city traffic and in tight parking spots and a fuel tank capacity of 55liters. Also, it has a gross vehicle weight of 2930kgs, curb weight of 1830kgs for DC and 1860kgs for DC VX and can carry a payload of 1100kgs(DC) and 1070(DC VX).
The interior also gives a pleasant, beautiful and comfortable feel having front seats with headrests and back adjustment, fabric upholstery, a powerful AC with 4 speed blowers, all power windows, a quality 2-DIN music system with CD changer, FM, USB and speakers, central locking, keyless entry, floor console with gear shift lever and bottle, coin and cup holders, door trims, door map pockets, door bottle holders, a mobile charger, a scuff plate, extra-large sun visors with mirrors, illuminated ignition key by a lamp around it, an illuminated instrument cluster with RPM meter and others, semi-bucket rear seats with multi-adjustments, an adjustable power steering, wide windscreens and wide doors, an extra-large glove box in a spacious dashboard, fully carpeted floors, door opening warning lamp and many other features.
Mahindra Genio DC has a 2489cc, 2.5L, In-line 4-cylinders, mDI CRDe diesel engine with a maximum power of 75bhp at 4000rpm and a maximum torque of 220Nm at 1400-2200rpm and has a five speed manual gearbox transmission. It has a single plate dry clutch and gives a top speed of almost 120kmph with a mileage of 12-14kmpl.
Mahindra Genio DC has ventilated disk brakes at front and drum brakes at rear. The suspension system has Independent one with Coil Springs, Anti-Roll Stabilizer Bar and Telescopic Double-Acting Hydraulic shock absorbers at front while Leaf Spring type with Anti-Roll Stabilizer Bar and Telescopic Double-Acting Hydraulic Shock Absorbers at rear. For the safety, it has engine immobiliser, ELR seat belts with height adjustment, rear child locks, door opening warning lamps, electric headlamp levelling device and a high mounted stop lamp.
