Ford Figo was first seen in Indian market in September 2009 when it made a nice entry and became a success. Now, Ford India recently launched the 2013 version of Figo with some up-gradations.
The exterior of Figo gives a very balanced look with a lean radiator grille with Ford logo, new clear lens headlights, huge black colored bumper grille, round clear lens fog lights with black surround, large roof rails, 14-inch eight spoke alloy wheels, huge wheel arches, body colored door handles, electrically adjustable outside door mirrors with built-in indicators, tall tail-lights with large rear glass, body colored spoiler with brake light, simple rear wiper and semi-black rear bumper with lines and reflective lights. The interior gives a very composed look with dark black color inside, fabricated door trims, quality plastic material, adjustable three spoke steering wheel with column mounted audio controls, leather covered gear knob and an instrument cluster with red back light which includes tachometer, digital trip meter, odometer and clock with Distance to empty display.

As far as comfort of the passengers is concerned, it has adjustable headrests for front seats with good back support, height adjustable driver seat, tilt-able power steering, powerful AC with heater, front power windows, central locking, programmable key-less entry, rear defogger and wiper and rear electric boot opener. The dashboard has silver finished central console with AC vents and big glove box. The dashboard is available in many colors. It has a quality music system with radio, CD and MP3 player, USB port, Bluetooth connectivity and four powerful speakers. It also has a 12V accessory socket. Ford Figo has two engines, petrol and diesel.
The 1196cc 1.2L Duratec DOHC four cylinder petrol engine has a maximum power of 70 bhp at 6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 102 Nm at 4000 rpm and has a five speed manual gearbox with the mileage of 11-12 kmpl in the cities and around 15 kmpl on the highways. The 1399cc 1.4L Duratorq SOHC diesel engine gives a maximum power of 68 bhp at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm and has a five speed manual gearbox giving it a top speed of 150 kmph and reaches 0-100 kmph mark in less than 16 seconds. It has a mileage of 14-15 kmpl in the cities and 18-19 kmpl on the highways. It has negligible body roll and goes well on Indian roads and in crowded parking spaces with wheelbase of 2489mm, high ground clearance of 168mm and a minimum turning radius of 4.9m. It has disk brakes at front and drum brakes at rear. The top model has some safety features such as ABS with EBD, Dual front Airbags and PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System).
Ford Figo has eight variants which are LXi, EXi, ZXi, Titanium, Diesel LXi, Diesel EXi, Diesel ZXi and Diesel Titanium. It has eight beautiful shades which are Diamond White, Moondust Silver, Sea Grey, Colorad Red, Panther Black, Chill Metallic, Kinetic Blue and Bright Yellow. It has an extendable warranty of 2 years or 100000 kms whatever comes earlier. It has a price range between INR 3.84-6.25 lakhs (approx., may vary). Overall, only the diesel version of this hatchback shown sales as well as performance and the petrol version is nowhere near its competitors.a
