Bollywood actress Yami Gautam has added another luxury car to her collection, a facelifted BMW X7. The SUV is finished in the Tanzanite Blue Metallic paint option, but the exact powertrain configuration is not yet known.
Gautam already owns an Audi Q7 SUV and an Audi A4 sedan. The BMW X7 is a larger and more luxurious SUV than the Audi Q7, and it is powered by a variety of engines. It includes a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-6, a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, and a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12.
The India-spec BMW X7 is available with two engine options: a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-6 petrol engine and a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-6 diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 381 horsepower and 520 Newton meters of torque. While the diesel engine produces 340 horsepower and 700 Newton meters of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission system and all-wheel drive.
Both the engines in the India-spec BMW X7 are equipped with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, which provides an additional 12 horsepower and 200 Newton meters of torque under hard acceleration. This boost in power helps the X7 accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 5.9 seconds. The X7 also has four driving modes: Comfort, Efficient, Sport, and Sport Plus.
The BMW X7 is the flagship luxury SUV from BMW, and it is packed with features like dual screens; a 12.3-inch digital driver's display and a 14.9-inch infotainment unit, a panoramic sunroof, 14-colour ambient lighting, a digital key.
The X7 also comes with a host of safety features like multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
BMW first launched the X7 in India in 2019, and it quickly became a popular choice for luxury SUV buyers. In January 2023, BMW gave the X7 a refresh. The refreshed X7 is now available in a single “M Sport” trim. The X7 is priced starting at Rs 1.22 crore for the petrol variant and Rs 1.25 crore for the diesel variant (both ex-showroom Delhi).
