Ahead of the Diwali festival, Yamaha Motors India’s popular bike R15 V4 has witnessed its first price hike. As per the official website, the price of all R15 V4 variants has been increased by Rs 3000 with effect from November 1, 2021. It is worth noting that the increased costs do not include any upgrades to the bike. Here are the updated colour-wise prices for the R15 V4 and the R15M series in India:

  • R15 V4 Metallic Red - INR 1,70,800
  • R15 V4 Dark Knight - INR 1,71,800
  • R15 V4 Racing Blue - INR 1,75,800
  • R15M Metallic Grey - INR 1,80,800
  • R15M MotoGP Edition - INR 1,82,800

In terms of design and styling, the R15’s standard model comes painted in three attractive colour choices like Mettalic Red, Racing Blue and Dark Knight. The R15M trim is available in silver with blue highlights, while the MotoGP Edition is available in black with MotoGP-inspired body graphics and Monster Energy branding on the fuel tank and side fairings.

Talking about the available features, the bike has an all-LED lighting system, a completely digital LCD instrument console with Yamaha's connectivity feature and Bluetooth, a class D Bi-functional headlight unit, a side-stand cut-off switch, quick-shifter and traction control.

The R15 V4 is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. This engine produces 18.2 bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500rpm thanks to VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology.

The bike's suspension chores are now handled by gold-coloured USD forks upfront, which not only improves handling but also add to its visual appeal. The rear suspension is mono-shock suspension and braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.
