Xiaomi has always presented itself as the most customer friendly brand for smartphones in many major Asian markets with it's effective pricing. The story for the new Mi Bluetooth speaker with aluminum body is again the same as Xiaomi India has launched the same for just INR 1,999. The speaker has been launched alongside the new Redmi Note 3, carrying a price tag of just INR 9,999.
Internationally, the speaker was introduced in September 2015 and comes with full metal body, weighing just 270 grams. It looks like a small rectangular pencil box and plays music directly through a microSD card. This feature is found on quite expensive unit's and least on speakers of same category. The built-in microphone enables the user to have calls over the Bluetooth speaker. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 and even has the option of picking up the call from the speaker itself. The music gets automatically paused on that moment.
The length, width and height of the speaker measures 168 mm, 24.5 mm and 58 mm respectively. It comes with a 1500 mAh battery for up to 8 hours of music playback. The AUX in port makes it's use more versatile, along with it's dual 36 mm drivers with NdFeb magnets with ferro fluid cooling technology. The maximum speaker output is rated at 3W x 2.
