Electric market has the least number of opponents in India. Mahindra is one major brand in this segment, offering multiple products like E2O Plus and Verito under the electric platform. Xiaomi cars and bikes would first rival brands like Mahindra and Hero Electric.
India currently has a market share of just 25,000 units of electric vehicles annually. This number is almost nothing as the lease selling car from a reputed brand has more units on its side. Before 2020, brands will speed up the process of electrification and before that, they have a clean chance to make a name in this presently unknown industry.

They have fold-able electric bicycles and full sized scooters in their Chinese lineup. Their plan to expand their Indian lineup through electric cars is a great option as Xiaomi has always portrayed themselves as pocket friendly and people friendly technology giant.
