Volvo S60 Cross Country – A beefed up version of the regular S60 Sedan is all set to launch in India on 11 March, 2016. The cross offers a higher ground clearance making to capable of tackling tough terrains. The Volvo 60 will be the first of its kind in the sedan-SUV cross category. In India, the car will be powered by a 2.4 liter five-cylinder D4 engine capable of producing a power of 178 horses. Th engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The car 65 mm higher than the conventional S60 sedan, will be equipped the same features as the top variant of the S60. S60 Cross Country gets minor cosmetic upgrades over the S60 such as black cladding on wheel arches, skid plates etc, giving the cross a more robust appearance. It will also get a set of 18 or 19 inch alloy wheels. The price of the car will be announced on 11 March, but it is expected to be around INR 42-45 lacs.
