Volkswagen recently unveiled a premium fastback that sits comfortably above the Passat in the international lineup. Named as Volkswagen Arteon, the car looks beautiful from every angle and shows elegance through its premium design language.
The radiator grill of the car stretches to both the ends while its long bonnet looks perfect on the car's profile. It carries LED headlights, daytime running lights and a perfect sportscar finish on the front. It sits right under the China specific Phideon and would be produced at Volkswagen's Emdem plant in Germany.
VW Arteon brings loads of space as apart from its rear seat legroom, it comes with 563 liters of boot space. The lineup gets six different engine options that produce between 150 PS to 280 PS. It comes with further options of front wheel drive or all wheel drive.
It includes the advanced Discover Pro infotainment system that comes with 9.2 inch touchscreen along with the newly developed, latest generation adaptive cruise control. The gearbox on offer includes 6-speed manual as well as a 7-Speed DSG. Most parts are shared with other VW group partners.
The top spec Arteon R-Line comes with high gloss black air intakes, 18 inch Sebring alloy wheels and unique bumpers. The interior gets aluminum race pedals, heated front seats and leather seats with R-Line branding.
Elegance variant for the Arteon comes with 18 inch Muscat alloy wheels, personalized dashboard and interior, LED taillights and Chrome inserts. It is placed as an affordable luxury option as Volkswagen claims lowest available cost of maintenance. The 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines would also keep the running cost under check.
