Ampere has updated the Magnus G Max with a larger connected-technology package and a new five-inch display. The revised scooter is reported at ₹1.10 lakh and offers more than 30 connected features.

The underlying commuter-focused hardware continues to centre on a 3kWh LFP battery, a hub motor with 2.4kW peak output and a claimed 142km IDC range. Top speed is listed at 65kmph.

What the update adds

The new display and connected suite are the main changes in this update. Connected functions can improve everyday usability through ride information, vehicle alerts and app-linked services, though exact feature availability should be checked against the final variant and subscription terms.

The ₹1.10 lakh figure belongs to the updated model. Ampere’s earlier launch communication used a lower introductory price, so buyers should not treat the two time-stamped prices as contradictory.

Battery, range and performance

Ampere lists a 3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a five-year or 75,000km battery warranty. The official specification also includes a 33-litre boot and riding modes intended for urban use.

The 142km figure is an IDC-certified claim. Real-world distance varies with speed, load, temperature, tyre pressure, terrain and use of electrical features. Ampere’s launch material separately discussed a lower real-world Eco-mode figure, which is a more useful reminder that certified range is not a guarantee.

Who the Magnus G Max is for

The scooter is positioned for family and daily-commuting use rather than outright performance. Storage, warranty coverage and a practical speed ceiling are therefore as important as the new connected functions.

The update makes the ownership interface more modern while retaining the same broad utility formula. Prospective buyers should compare the on-road price, charging access, service reach and real-world range expectations before deciding.
