Suzuki is updating its popular scooter, the Suzuki Access 125, which hasn't seen major changes since its last update in 2016. A new facelift version has been spotted for the first time, indicating some exciting upgrades are on the way.
What’s New with the Suzuki Access 125 Facelift?
The facelifted Suzuki Access 125 retains its recognizable shape but introduces several enhancements. Although the scooter maintains its neutral design with smooth body panels, some noticeable changes include a redesigned headlight cowl, which now appears bulkier, giving the scooter a more modern look.
Practical Features Enhanced
Continuing its reputation for practicality, the new Access 125 now features additional storage options. There's a new storage cubby on the right-hand side, adding to the convenience for riders who need easy access to their belongings while on the go. The exhaust heat shield and rear mudguard have been redesigned, potentially offering better protection and durability. It remains to be seen if Suzuki will expand the underseat storage, which currently holds 21.8 liters, especially since competitors are now offering up to 30 liters.
Additional Upgrades and Existing Features
Another new feature spotted on the test mule is hazard lights, likely to be included in the production model, enhancing safety for riders. The Access 125 already comes equipped with several user-friendly features like a kill switch, external fuel filler lid, USB charging port, a one-push central locking system, and two luggage hooks.
Wheel Size and Expectations
It’s a bit disappointing that the facelift still sports a 10-inch rear wheel, whereas most new scooters now feature larger 12-inch wheels. While the mechanical aspects of the scooter are expected to remain similar to the current model, slight tweaks could be made.
Pricing and Launch Expectations
The current Suzuki Access 125 is priced between Rs 79,899 and Rs 90,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the upcoming facelift, prices are expected to rise slightly. This update is likely to attract both existing fans of the Access 125 and new customers looking for a reliable, practical scooter with a fresh look and enhanced features.
