TVS has announced a 5-year partnership with Petronas and established a team called the Petronas TVS Racing and co-branded an oil named Petronas TVS Tru4 RacePro for the Apache range. TVS is widely appreciated for their efforts in uplifting the Indian 2-wheeler scene since 1982. The newly created joint venture of the Indian manufacturer with the Malaysian oil maker is set to enter various National-level motorsport events.

Petronas TVS Racing will take part in the National Motorsports, such as the National Rally Championship, Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship and the National Supercross Championship. They have showcased their various racing products for each of the above-mentioned racing events as well. The new racing motorcycle is wrapped in a livery of Petronas and TVS brand colours. TVS Apache RR 310 race bike was showcased recently during the announcement of the ‘Asia One Make Championship’ with two other products; a dirt bike and a performance rally scooter.

The ‘Asia One Make Championship’ will take place in 4 Asian countries and will unearth various riding talents all across these countries. Petronas has been working to expand its footprints in India as it considers the Indian market as one of the most potential-filled markets. Petronas has started producing their Sprinta engine oil locally in Mumbai, expanding their portfolio.

In addition to all this TVS and Petronas are looking forward to launching a premium motorcycle engine oil for the Apache series called Petronas TVS TRU4 RacePro by May 2022. TVS also recently invested an amount of EUR 100 million in Norton Motorcycles aiming to resurrect the brand and build up its UK facility in Solihull, West Midlands.
