The Toyota Innova Crysta is expected to launch on 3rd May 2016. The MPV was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. Toyota has reported the new Innova will be come with a 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesel engines, and also a 2.0-litre petrol unit. The 2.5 liter diesel rig will churn out 146.9 BHP and 342.2 NM of torque when mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and 360 NM of torque when coupled with a 6- speed AT. The bigger 2.8 liter diesel rig will produce 177 PS. Not much is known about the petrol engine yet.
Dimension-wise, the new Toyota Innova measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and 1,795 mm in height. It stretches across a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The Crysta is 150mm longer, 70mm wider and 35 mm taller than the previous Innova. The deliveries of the diesel model will commence from May 13, while the petrol version is expected to hit the showrooms in August. The prices of Innova Crysta are expected to start from INR 13 lacs.
