Transformed into a blacked-out off-road SUV, the Fortuner appears completely stunning. In the rendering, we see the SUV painted in gloss black, with a blacked-out front grille and a silver-finished bash plate. The ORVMs now have rose-coloured turn indicators that look really awesome. There are also special all-black alloy wheels with massive off-road tyres mounted on them.

Aside from that, sidestep extensions/rock sliders have been added to the flanks, making this digitally changed SUV even more appealing. The digital artist has added auxiliary LED lights on the front bumper for enhanced illumination in the dark. In addition, a roof-mounted carrier is visible, as well as additional auxiliary LED lights positioned on the roof. The LED DRLs incorporated into the headlights have also been restyled to seem more aggressive, and the bonnet is a one-of-a-kind piece.

The Toyota Fortuner is offered in India with two engine choices. The first is a 2.7-litre NA petrol engine with 166 PS and 245 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The second is a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 204 PS and 500 Nm (420 Nm on manual models), available with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT transmission. While both engines are strong enough for an off-roader, the diesel engine is the only one with a four-wheel-drive option.

The brand has offered the SUV in India in two versions, called Standard and Legender.
