Toyota Motor Thailand recently launched the 2017 Toyota Vios in Thailand at 6,09,000 baht (INR 11.75 lakh). The car saw a price increase of 40,000 baht from the previous generation while comes out with loads of changes for the year 2017. The design cues simply point out at the Chinese spec Vios, carrying the same elements from the last facelift itself. The top spec car can be bought for 7,89,000 baht (INR 15.23 lakh).
The car now comes with chrome accented projector headlights, redesigned upper grill, hexagonal lower grill, LED stripes and LED tail lights. Toyota Vios comes with an updated instrument console, reworked 7 inch touchscreen and two types of interior finishing. Out of all other variants that come with standard Black fabric, E and G are offered with dual tone beige interior as an option.
The S variant comes with sporty leather seats with Red inserts. The car comes fully loaded in its top trim with loads of options on offer. The car even offers smartphone connectivity through its touchscreen infotainment system. The engine on offer is 1.5 liter dual VVT-i unit producing 108 HP and 140 Nm of torque. CVT gearbox is being offered as standard on the new Vios.
As of now, Toyota has not announced anything regarding the launch of Vios Sedan in India, if launched here, it would be positioned below Corolls Altis and will compete with the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, VW Vento, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
