While India is eagerly waiting for the new generation Toyota Fortuner, Thailand receives a TRD Sportivo variant for the 2016 Fortuner at 17,19,500 Baht ( INR 32.72 lakh approx). The car gets extra bodywork for increased appeal and visual changes are quite noticeable for the butch looking SUV.
The front and rear bumpers have been modified for a solid stance whereas the new Black top on the White shade makes it look more premium than ever. The best part comes to the alloy wheels, which are upgraded to 20 inch, 6-spoke black finished units from the regular 18 inch ones. The car gets Spotivo badging on every possible place and uses the same 2.8 L diesel motor producing 174.6 bhp @ 3400 rpm and 450 Nm @ 1600-2400 rpm. The gearbox is 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
The suspension gets some tuning with TRD Sportivo shocks at the front and 4-link coil setup with stabilizer bar at the rear. The other features on the car includes Bi-beam LED projectors, premium audio amplifier with JBL speakers, theft deterrent system, brake assist, vehicle stability control, trailer sway control and hill assist system. The car gets Sportivo dials, special key fob and much more on offer with this new entry. The 2016 Fortuner will make way into India in 2017 only. The car gets an all new design and TRD Sportivo version takes the feel to a new level with it's exclusive features and highlights.
