Tesla Model 3 Electric Cars Spotted in India Ahead of Launch

In this modern era of electric vehicles, the biggest contributor Elon Musk owned company is also going to debut in the Indian electric car market by launching the Tesla Model 3. It came to the headlines when he confirmed through a tweet last year. After that, Karnataka CM B.S. Yediyurappa also stated in February that the US-based electric car and renewable energy business will establish a manufacturing plant in the state.

And now the brand has begun the testing, validation, and homologation processes. The test mules of Tesla 3 spotted during testing is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup and rides on standard 18-inch wheels with the aero package and is outfitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S performance tyres.

The Model 3 is the most affordable car by the brand and is loaded with plenty of features. At present, the car comes with a 15-inch touchscreen that handles the majority of the vehicle's functions. This EV includes tinted windows as standard, as well as a tinted glass roof, which is peculiar to Tesla. We can assume the upcoming e-car to be similar to the model that the company sells in the US market. 

According to the sources, Tesla has already registered its office in Bengaluru and is actively working on hiring for top positions to look after the company’s operations in India. Our country is the second market in Asia for the company after China.

This forthcoming electric car is expected to change the future of EVs in the country. It is also an interesting thing that the car has been imported from abroad to sell in the Indian vehicle market hence, what type of response it will get from Indian car buyers. In terms of pricing, the Tesla Model 3 is expected to get an ex-showroom price range of around INR 65-80 lakhs.
