Tata Motors, continuing its focus on electric vehicles (EVs), is set to launch the Tata Punch EV, marking its first new model for 2024. Anticipated to debut in India shortly, the Punch EV brings fresh details on its battery options and features. Building on the success of EV sales in 2023 Tata Motors aims to strengthen its EV portfolio with the Punch EV offering distinctive features and advanced technology.
Battery Options and Naming
Battery Packs: The Tata Punch EV will be equipped with two battery pack options – 25kWh and 35kWh, aligning with Tata's EV nomenclature of Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR).
Architecture: Based on the ALFA platform with Tata's Gen 2 EV architecture, the Punch EV features a liquid-cooled battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor powering the front wheels.

Ventilated Front Seats: The Punch EV is set to become the most affordable car in India to offer ventilated front seats, enhancing comfort for occupants.
