Tata Nexon: Revealing the Safety Features of a 5-Star Global NCAP SUV

An important milestone for the car industry was reached when the Tata Nexon scored a 5-star certification in the Global NCAP safety test. Along with the Harrier and Safari, two other Tata SUVs that also received a five-star BNCAP safety certification, this achievement puts it in the same league. With its stellar performance in safety testing the Nexon establishes itself as one of the safest vehicles in the mid-size SUV class and highlights the dedication of Tata Motors to passenger wellness.

Global NCAP Rating

The strong safety features and design of the Nexon are shown by its outstanding performance in the Global NCAP evaluation. Nexon is still the class leader in safety, scoring 32.2 points for adult occupant protection and 44.5 points for child occupant protection. These ratings show how well-equipped the car is to prevent its passengers from damage in the case of an accident making it an excellent choice for families and consumers who value safety. With the release of the next generation in September 2023, Tata provided an extensive list of safety measures that were included in every model.

These include a tire pressure monitoring system that alerts the driver to any discrepancies in tire pressure, a 360-degree camera that provides a comprehensive view of the vehicle's surroundings a blind-view monitor for enhanced visibility, front parking sensors for added convenience, and a rearview camera for safer reversing. Comparison with Rivals

While the Nexon boasts an impressive array of safety features it does not offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like some of its competitors. Vehicles such as the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet come equipped with Level 1 ADAS features, including lane-keep assist, high beam assist, forward collision warning with avoidance assist, and lead vehicle departure alert. To maintain competitiveness in the market, future models of the Nexon should consider incorporating these characteristics as the current model does not.

The Tata Nexon has made an important contribution to the mid-size SUV market by earning a 5-star Global NCAP rating which highlights its safety and dependability. Beginning at Rs. 8.15 lakh (ex-showroom) the Nexon is a competitive option for those who value safety when choosing a car because it comes with a strong package of safety features. It will be interesting to observe that Tata Motors enhances the safety features of Nexon to meet customer expectations in the automotive sector.
