The Tata Altroz, the sole premium hatchback in the brand's lineup, is experiencing a substantial surge in demand, leading to an extended waiting period for eager customers. As of January 2024, the waiting period for certain variants has reached up to 8 weeks, signaling the model's popularity in the Indian market.

Current Price and Upcoming Hike

Priced competitively with a starting point at Rs. 6.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the Altroz is set to undergo a price hike soon across its entire range. Despite the imminent increase in prices the hatchback continues to attract buyers, contributing to the prolonged waiting period.

Waiting Period Details

The waiting period varies across different variants and powertrain options:

  • Petrol and Diesel (Manual): The manual variants of the Altroz with petrol and diesel powertrains currently have a waiting period ranging from four to six weeks.
  • Automatic and CNG Variants: On the other hand, the automatic variants and those equipped with CNG technology are facing a waiting period of six to eight weeks from the booking date.

Powertrain Options

The Tata Altroz offers a versatile range of powertrains to cater to diverse customer preferences. It is available with the following engine options:

  • 1.2-litre NA Petrol (also available in iCNG guise)
  • 1.2-litre Turbo Petrol
  • 1.5-litre Diesel

Transmission Choices

Customers can opt for either a five-speed manual or a six-speed DCT gearbox, providing flexibility in selecting the transmission that suits their driving preferences.
