The Altroz Racer, an enhanced version of the Altroz, captivates onlookers with its striking design featuring blackened wheels, a sleek black roof, and a distinguished black bonnet adorned with bold white racing stripes. Originally showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, the Altroz Racer is set to rival the Hyundai i20 N Line in the market.
A standout feature of the Altroz Racer is its speculated utilization of Tata's new 1.2 TGDI engine, promising heightened power and performance compared to the current Altroz i-Turbo available in India. Presently, the Nexon offers a range of engine options including 1.2-liter NA petrol, 1.2-liter Turbo petrol, CNG, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, with prices ranging from Rs 6.6 lakh to Rs 10.75 lakh, ex-showroom.
The rumored new 1.2L TGDi engine is expected to deliver 125 bhp at 5,000 RPM and an impressive 225 Nm of torque between 1,700 and 3,500 RPM, ensuring enhanced performance at lower RPMs. Paired with Tata's new 7-speed DCT transmission, the Altroz Racer is anticipated to offer both manual and automatic options.
Futuristic Interior Features: Infotainment and Connectivity
Incorporating futuristic elements, Tata Motors has equipped the Altroz Racer with advanced features such as a 10.2-inch infotainment screen featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. While a single-pane sunroof is expected, certain sophisticated features seen in other Tata models, such as the 2-spoke steering wheel and touch and toggle-style climate control panel, may not be included in the Altroz Racer.
