Suzuki's eWX Concept Set to Make its Debut in Tokyo This Month

Suzuki will exhibit several concepts at the forthcoming Tokyo Motor Show in 2023. We've previously told you about the eVX EV SUV, as well as the all-new Swift, which will make its world debut at the event. Suzuki will also send a tiny eWX EV prototype that previews a future city EV hatchback to the event.

  • ?Gets a 230km range
  • Is slightly shorter than the S-Presso
  • eWX concept has a length of 3.4 meters.

Suzuki eWX previews Future City EV

Based on its 3.4-meter length, the eWX concept appears to be targeted at Japanese consumers of Kei cars who are interested in making the conversion to electric vehicles. There are still several design references from the concept car everywhere you look. Though the concept is much smaller than the S-Presso offered in our market, the general appearance does resemble a WagonR.

The concept is made more appealing by the faint fluorescent trims on all sides and the dual-tone external theme running the length of the body. The wheel covers also have a unique design with faint fluorescent highlights, and the front is slab-sided with C-shaped headlamps and a closed-off grille. To round off the boxy design, the upright rear has a slab-sided tailgate and C-shaped taillamps once more.

Even though Suzuki hasn't disclosed any powertrain information yet, it's reasonable to assume that it will have a single motor. According to the brand, this idea has a 230-kilometer range.

When will the Suzuki eWX visit India?

Not right away. Maruti is preparing an SUV the size of a Creta that will essentially be the eVX concept's production counterpart.
