First showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in February, Suzuki has finally launched the Fi (Fuel Injected) variant of Gixxer SF for Rs 93,499 (ex-showroom Delhi). The on-road price of Suzuki Gixxer SF Fi in Delhi is Rs 1,03,785. SF Fi is available only in the MotoGP livery and the ex-showroom price is Rs 4642 more in comparison to the carburetted MotoGP model. For now, Gixxer SF Fi is available in limited cities: Kolkata, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune.
It was expected that the fuel-injected model would be more powerful in comparison to the carburetted model but as per the details available, the fuel-injected model generates same amount of power and torque. The 154.9cc engine develops maximum power of 14.6 BHP @ 8000 rpm with maximum torque of 14 NM @ 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The fuel injected variant of the Gixxer SF helps in ensuring better throttle response along with an smooth power delivery. The kerb weight of the bike is also same at 139 kgs.
