Suzuki 2-Wheelers has officially unveiled the 2022 Katana during the EICMA 2021 motorcycle show in Italy. Aside from an aesthetic change, the bike also receives a technical overhaul. The Katana rides on the same platform as the GSX-S1000. The semi-faired litre-class bike has a retro-modern appearance. It sports a small tail section and a rectangular LED headlight.

The 2022 model Katana is powered by a 998cc 4-cylinder engine producing 150 BHP at 11,000 rpm. The engine produces 2 BHP more than the previous version due to a revised camshaft profile, valve springs, and a redesigned intake and exhaust system. The new model is built on a lightweight, twin-spar aluminium frame and gets fully adjustable KYB front forks and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear end.

In addition, the braking chores are handled by the dual 310mm front discs with Brembo callipers and a single disc at the rear. Also, the new Katana comes with the Suzuki Riding Mode Selector System with three engine modes such as a bi-directional quick shifter paired with a new Suzuki Clutch Assist System, ride-by-wire throttle and traction control with five settings.
