2017 Suzuki Gixxer Series Launched Starting @ INR 77,452

2017 Suzuki Gixxer series was recently launched in India for a starting price of INR 77,452 (ex-showroom Delhi). The base variant that can be bought for this price is the naked street fighter with a rear drum brake. 2017 Suzuki Gixxer SF can be bought for INR 89,659 while its fuel injected version (Gixxer SF FI) is now priced at INR 93,499. Suzuki Gixxer that comes with a rear disc brake can be bought for INR 80,528. All these prices are ex-showroom Delhi. Suzuki has updated the Gixxer series with BS4 compliant engine and AHO (All-time Headlight On), making them ready for the upcoming turn in emission control and mandatory safety policy. They have now even distinguished the 2017 version with new shades on each variant. Gixxer with a rear drum brake can now be bought in just Glass Sparkle Black shade. It has been kept as the only mascot for affordable pricing and focus now shifts on to the rear disc variant.

Gixxer with rear disc can now be bought in two single tone shades (Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black) and one dual tone shade (Pearl Mira Red/Glass Sparkle Black). The new Gixxer series now uses new graphics for even better overall feel. 2017 Gixxer SF and its fuel injected variant share two shades in common (Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matt Black). Pearl Mira Red stays exclusive to the Gixxer SF carburetor version. The earlier Gixxer series was powered by 154.9 cc, single cylinder engine that is good for 14.6 BHP and 14 Nm of torque. The engine will definitely use a 5-speed gearbox for the 2017 version while the power values can get a slight change due to the upgrades. The availability of shades in different variants will now see a considerable change as most of the changes may have been made after reviewing the customer feedback at Suzuki dealerships.
