Apple Watch Ultra Officially Launched in India for Rs 89,900

Apple Watch Ultra was announced alongside the Apple Watch Series 8 at Apple’s Far Out product event. Ultra could be the most significant change to Apple’s watch lineup in years. It will be released on September 23, one week after the Watch Series 8.

Apple Watch Ultra is intended to be worn with gloves, which is evident by the larger screen and more clearly defined crown. A specialised action button gives the user access to a broader range of functions, similar to a Garmin or other sports wearable in many ways.

Apple Watch Ultra is designed for people who may not be able to charge their devices easily. It has the longest battery life of any Apple Watch to date, lasting 36 hours on a single charge. Low Power Mode increases this length to 60 hours per charge for truly insane battery life.

A specialised smartwatch like this one is bound to have something extra. It includes a compass in the dial and can be further customised to suit adventures. There’s even a night mode that turns the compass red to prevent it from interfering with your night vision.

Many smartwatches include GPS, but only a few would outperform the Ultra. Dual-frequency GPS of Ultra uses both L1 and L5 frequencies to provide precise information even when surrounded by skyscrapers. This allows the Compass app to fully utilise the GPS, even for custom settings such as the trailhead or tent location.

Apple Watch Ultra even has a depth gauge to assist you while diving. It’s certified to EN13319, the standard for most dives, and can go down to 30 metres. Ultra is effectively transformed into a dive computer as a result of this. Apple Watch Ultra is twice as water resistant as any other Apple Watch, ensuring its safety even when you’re chasing a dolphin deep into the waves.
