Skoda is set to reintroduce its greatest sedan, the Superb, to the Indian market with the B8 generation. Skoda is making this change to provide a premium option for the Indian luxury automobile market. The Superb is expected to make a notable return on 3rd April 2024, this time being imported via the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route.

Features

The Superb will make its re-entry with the range-topping ‘L&K’ variant, packed with premium features to enhance the driving experience. Expect to find Adaptive Auto LED headlamps, LED fog lamps with cornering function, 17-inch alloys, and a Columbus infotainment system with Wired Smart Link. The interior will be a blend of luxury and convenience, with features like ventilated 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, a massage function for the driver’s seat, wireless charging, and a Canton sound system with 11 speakers.

Safety and Technology

Skoda is not compromising on safety either, equipping the Superb with a host of safety features. These include Dynamic Chassis Control, Electronic Differential Lock, Active tyre pressure monitoring, Park Assist with a 360-degree camera, Emergency Braking Assist, and a comprehensive array of 9 airbags. The Superb aims to provide a safe and secure driving experience for its occupants.

Powertrain and Performance

Under the hood, the Skoda Superb B8 will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering 188 BHP at 4200-6000 RPM and 320 Nm of torque at 1450-4200 RPM. This engine will be paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission ensuring a smooth and powerful driving experience. It's worth noting that there will be no diesel engine option available.

Skoda plans to introduce the Superb B8 with a limited batch of 100 units initially, adding to its exclusivity.
