Piaggio Vespa 946 Emporio Armani, the premium offering from the scooter manufacturer, was launched in India back in November 2016 at a price tag of INR 12.05 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). Only three units of this limited-edition scooter were allotted to the Indian market and as per the latest details available, one unit is still available at SBK World (Pune) and that too with a massive discount of INR 2 lakh.
After the discount, the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is now available at a price tag of INR 10.05 lakh, which is still on the higher side, making it the most expensive 125cc scooter one can buy in India. The Vespa 946 is a model that was launched to celebrate the company’s completion of 130 years in the industry while what makes it special is this specific Emporio Armani Edition with a signature of Giorgio Armani over it.
The scooter is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine producing 11.4 BHP of power and 10.3 Nm of torque. The engine is air-cooled and fuel-injected while the gearbox is a centrifugal dry clutch automatic transmission. The scooter is further equipped with traction control and 2-channel ABS while its top speed is 93 kmph. The claimed fuel efficiency figure is 50 kmpl for the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani.
Vespa 946 Emporio Armani features an LCD instrument console, LED lights and many other elite features when seen in terms of a 125 cc scooter. Even if it is the most expensive one of its type around the world, it would be the best thing for an automotive collector to have in his/her collection.
