The 2020 Honda ADV150 adventure scooter has been recently launched by Honda Powersports in the US markets at a price tag of USD 4,299 (INR 3.30 lakh approximately). The ADV150 was initially unveiled by the brand in Indonesia back in July 2019. The 150cc scooter features a sports motorcycle outlook while the design language has been based on its 750cc sibling named X-ADV. The scooter has been imparted with dual-sport motorcycle-inspired properties while the overall rugged design makes it capable of conquering every terrain. The brand has offered the maxi scooter with premium aesthetics similar to the X-ADV with an upswept exhaust system adding to the adventure scooter characteristics. The rear section of the scooter has been offered a neat outlook with an LED taillight while the 2020 Honda ADV150 has been equipped with an all-digital instrument console and an under-seat storage space of 27-litres. The ADV150 has been further equipped with a large storage compartment at the front which further features a USB charging cord for charging electronics on the go. The brand has equipped the adventure scooter with Honda smart key and alarm system for additional security. Article image Powering the adventure scooter is a 149cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 14.5 HP @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.8 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The power output of the engine goes to the rear wheel via a V-Matic transmission. The suspension duties are handled by 31mm Showa telescopic forks at the front while the rear features Showa gas-charged shock absorbers. The braking department is handled by a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear mated to single-channel ABS. The Honda ADV150 adventure scooter will be available across the dealerships in the US markets from June 2020 in a single Matte Black Metallic colour scheme. The probability of the launch of the adventure scooter variant in the Indian markets remains thin at the moment.
