After a long wait, Ola Electric has finally commenced deliveries of its new scooters, the S1 and S1 Pro. Customers were waiting eagerly since the brand was rescheduling the dates, but later it was promised that the new scooters would hit the Indian roads by mid-December. And now, fulfilling the promise, Ola has organised special events in Bengaluru and Chennai cities. The first 100 customers visited the events with their friends and families and took the Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters home.

While Tweeting about the auspicious day for the company, the CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, wrote, “Goosebumps while hosting our first set of S1 customers at the Ola Campus today! Inspiring to see the excitement and energy. Thank you to all our customers, who are the real reason behind the EV revolution that is sweeping across India.“ Mr Aggarwal also emphasised the eleven-month journey from purchasing the land for the Futurefactory to the production of these two stylish scooters.

The Ola electric scooters are offered in 10 stunning colour options and are priced at Rs 99,999 for the S1 and Rs 1,29,999 for the S1 Pro. Both are ex-showroom prices, and it is also noteworthy that the prices are different in states like Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Prices in these four states are lower, thanks to subsidies on electric vehicles. Ola has also opened the second purchase window on December 16 and interested customers can reserve the scooters by paying Rs 499 as a token amount.

The S1 gets a 2.98kWh battery capacity, while the S1 Pro gets a 3.97kWh battery capacity. Speaking of the range it offers, the S1 has a range of 121 km, while the S1 Pro offers a 180 km range with a single charge.
