Ampere Vehicles, Bengaluru has officially launched the Ampere Reo Elite electric scooter at a price tag of INR 45,000 (ex-showroom). The all-new scooter variant will be positioned between the Reo and Magnus scooter lineup under the brand’s portfolio.
The brand is now accepting the bookings for the new electric scooter on its official website for a token amount of INR 1,999. As per the company’s latest safety initiative, every customer will be offered a free helmet with the purchase of the Reo Elite scooter.
Featuring an authentic European scooter design language, the recently launched electric scooter from the brand can be availed in four glossy colours: Red, White, Blue and Black. The scooter has been further offered an overall lightweight frame that makes it easy to handle for urban millennials while the sleek design with all the necessary features makes it one of the best contenders for the electric scooters in the Indian market.
The LED digital instrument panel offers apt riding statistics while the scooter caters to zero-emission standards that allows the motor to save power per kilometre. Powering the Ampere Reo Elite electric scooter is a 250W motor mated to a 48V-20Ah sealed lead-acid battery.
The maximum range offered by the electric scooter on a full charge of battery stands at 55km for the city roads while the scooter can record a range of 60km on the highways. The suspension duties on the scooter are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a twin-shock absorber setup.
The braking power is offered by 110mm drum brakes at either side. The ground clearance for the Reo Elite stands at 130mm while the kerb weight of the scooter ranges at 86kg. The top speed of the Ampere Reo Elite electric scooter stands at 25kmph. The Bengaluru-based Ampere Vehicles has been able to sell a total of 50,000 electric scooters since the launch of the brand in India.
