Samsung has launched a new version of the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition 5G in India. This new version is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC. The new phone comes just days ahead of the formal launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 later this month. The new Galaxy S21 FE 5G looks identical to the previous version, which was powered by the Exynos 2100 SoC. The only major difference is the chipset, which should offer better performance and battery life.
The new Galaxy S21 FE 5G is available in India with 256GB of internal storage and five colour options: Navy, Olive, Lavender, White, and Graphite. It is priced at Rs 49,999 and Samsung is offering a 15-month no-cost EMI option starting at ?3,334 per month. The phone will be available for purchase from July 11 onwards via Samsung.com and retail stores.
The Snapdragon 888 SoC-powered device is significantly less expensive than the Exynos 2100 SoC-powered model. The price drop is likely due to the use of an older chipset.
