After much anticipation, Royal Enfield has finally unveiled the prices for the highly awaited all-new Himalayan 450 at the ongoing Motoverse event in Goa. The adventure tourer, showcased earlier this month, comes with introductory prices starting at Rs 2.69 lakh and going up to Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices will be applicable until December 31, 2023. The new Himalayan 450 is available in three variants – Base, Pass, and Summit.

The Himalayan 450 comes with enhanced dimensions, offering three seating options with seat heights ranging from 825mm to 845mm, along with a Rally Kit that pushes the seat height to 855mm. The wheelbase and ground clearance have seen an increase of 45mm and 10mm, respectively. Notably, the kerb weight has been reduced by 3 kilograms.

The wheelbase and ground clearance have been increased by 45mm and 10mm, respectively, while the kerb weight has been reduced by 3 kilograms.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Features

The adventure tourer is equipped with a range of features, including a full-LED headlight and turn indicators. The highlight is the fully-digital TFT instrument console with built-in navigation powered by Google Maps, Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone integration, and music playback. Other features include a C-type USB charging port, ride-by-wire with two ride modes (Performance and Eco), and switchable rear ABS.

The Himalayan 450 will be complemented by a wide range of accessories categorized as Adventure and Rally, although some are still awaiting homologation and will be available later.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine Specs

Powering the Himalayan 450 is the all-new 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine called the Sherpa 450. Marking Royal Enfield's first liquid-cooled motor, it delivers 0 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a new 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Hardware Specs

The adventure tourer features a new steel twin-spar tubular frame with a twin-sided swingarm, supported by a new Showa-sourced suspension setup with 43mm upside-down forks and a link-type rear mono-shock, offering 200mm of travel at each end. The larger 320mm front and 270mm rear rotors are in charge of providing brakes.

The Himalayan 450 rolls on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels, with the option for tubeless tires coming later. Currently, it is equipped with tubed tires until the homologation process for tubeless tires is completed.
