Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Set to Launch This Year

Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch the new Guerrilla 450, a minimalist neo-retro roadster based on the same platform as the latest-gen Royal Enfield Himalayan. Slated for release between July and September 2024, this model is one of six new introductions planned by Royal Enfield for the financial year.

Design and Features

The Guerrilla 450 sports a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single-piece seat, and a slim tail section, embracing a clean and straightforward aesthetic. Unlike its sibling, the Himalayan, which features a USD fork, the Guerrilla 450 opts for a simpler telescopic front fork. Additionally, it swaps the Himalayan’s tubed wire-spoke wheels for tubeless alloy wheels, likely to be 17 inches in size at both ends.

Performance and Specifications

The engine of the Guerrilla 450 is expected to mirror that of the Himalayan, likely delivering around 40hp and 40Nm of torque. It remains uncertain whether it will feature the Tripper TFT display from the Himalayan or adopt the simpler digi-analogue display from the Super Meteor 650. A notable update is the inclusion of an LED headlight aligning it with other modern offerings from Royal Enfield.

Pricing and Competition

The Guerrilla 450 is anticipated to be more affordable than the Himalayan due to its less premium hardware and features. Expected to be priced around Rs 2.40 lakh to Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom), it will compete with other popular models like the Triumph Speed 400, Honda CB300R, and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. This strategic pricing positions the Guerrilla 450 as an attractive option for those seeking a stylish accessible roadster with the robustness of Royal Enfield’s proven platform.
