Yamaha R15 V3 Lookalike 2019 YZF-R125 Officially Unveiled

Ahead of the much-awaited INTERMOT 2018, Yamaha has officially unveiled the 2019 model of R125. The updated version gets an all-new design inspired heavily from the R15 Version 3.0. The new R125 is available in 3 shades: Yamaha Blue, Tech Black and Competition White. Yamaha has not announced the price for the 2019 model yet as they will officially showcase the bike at the INTERMOT 2018 next week. The brand will reveal the complete specs and the price at the motorcycle show. 2019 R125 is now equipped with an all-digital instrument console like we have on the India-spec R15 V3. 2019 model gets an updated 125cc liquid-cooled 4-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) which optimizes the inlet and outlet valve positions to improve the engine’s power and torque characteristics across the whole rev range. New R125 develops maximum power of 15 HP @ 9000 rpm with maximum torque of 12.4 NM @ 8000 rpm. The kerb weight of the bike is 142 kg and the seat height is 825mm. The fuel tank capacity of the new model is 11 litres. Unlike the R15 V3 we have in India, the 2019 model of R125 is equipped with 41mm upside down (USD) front forks, and the bike is also equipped with ABS as standard. The new model now comes with a wider 140/70 rear tyre in place of 130/70. As of now, Yamaha has no plans to launch the new R125 in India as they won't be able to price the bike under INR 1 lakh. Our country is a very price sensitive market and we also believe that it won't be a good idea to launch a 125cc bike with a price tag above INR 1 lakh.
