This step by BPCL has made the corporation to be the first to commence a doorstep delivery service of fuel in the national capital region. In one of the reports, Bharat Petroleum told that the fuel will be delivered at the same rate as available at the retail outlets.
According to their statement, the doorstep delivery fuel service can be utilized by housing societies, malls, hospitals, banks, large transporters, construction sites, and small and big industries. In order to avail the service, the customers will be required to book diesel through a mobile application 'FillNow', and it will further be delivered to the notified location in the application. The app has been developed by Noida-based Synergy Teletech Pvt Ltd.
The Sales Officer of BPCL Noida, Kriti Kumar said in a statement, ”Presently, we are providing this facility to the industrial need like malls, small and heavy manufacturing industries. In the future, the government is planning to extend this facility to individual car owners. Through this Bowser (door-to-door delivery vehicle) the safety aspect is taken care of. Furthermore, the quality and quantity are also assured as we have fuel which will be dispensed assuring the correct quantity and right quantity directly from BPCL Pump. Bowser has a geofencing system which ensures that fuel will be delivered only at ordered locations. Hence, no other fuel can be added or pilfered in between transportation.”
