The next-generation Maruti Dzire was recently spotted undergoing high-altitude testing in India, alongside the new Swift. Along with extra features, major interior and exterior design improvements are planned for the updated Dzire. The front fascia will receive revisions such as a new grille, tweaked bumpers, sleeker LED headlamp clusters, repositioned fog lamps, and a wider bonnet.
Exterior Updates
On the sides, the silhouette of the Dzire will remain more or less the same, ensuring its familiar and recognizable profile on the road. To improve its appearance and update its overall appearance, the 2019 model is expected to come with redesigned alloy wheel designs. The addition of a 360-degree surround camera system which would improve vision and safety for drivers is suggested by the cameras installed on the outside rear view mirrors (ORVM). The electrically adjustable sunroof which would be a welcome addition to this sub-four-meter car and give passengers a little more comfort and luxury is also visible in the spy photos.

Inside the cabin, the Dzire facelift is likely to receive a completely revamped interior, similar to other recent Maruti models. While Maruti Suzuki has not officially disclosed any technical specifications for the new-generation Swift or Dzire, details from the current models offer some insights. The current Dzire is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which may continue in the new model, possibly with improvements for efficiency or performance. Additionally, the current Dzire offers the option of a company-fitted CNG kit, providing an eco-friendly alternative for customers. An automatic manual transmission (AMT) and a five-speed manual are scheduled as available transmission options providing convenience for both highway and city driving.
