As promised, Motorola has released the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra smartphones in India. The phones have a large 6.9-inch FHD+ internal foldable OLED screen, with the Ultra model featuring a 1-165Hz refresh rate LTPO display and the Razr 40 model featuring a 144Hz screen.
The Razr 40 Ultra has a larger 3.6-inch FHD+ outer pOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Razr 40 has a smaller 1.4-inch cover screen. The Razr 40 Ultra retains the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC from last year's Razr model, while the Razr 40 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. Motorola offers both models with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Razr 40 Ultra's cover screen offers a variety of personalization options, including the ability to change the layout, fonts, colours, theme, and size. You can also access several apps directly from the cover screen.
The Razr 40 Ultra's hinge has been redesigned with 85 fewer components, making it more durable and easier to fold. It can hold the display open at a variety of angles, from 45° to 120°, and has been tested for 400,000 opening and closing cycles.
The Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra have a 7000 series aluminium frame. The Ultra packs a 3800mAh battery, while the Razr 40 has a larger 4200mAh battery. Both phones support 33W TurboPower fast charging and wireless charging.
The Razr 40 Ultra is priced at Rs 89,999 and comes in Phantom Black with a glass back and Viva Magenta with a vegan leather finish. The Razr 40 is priced at Rs 59,999 and comes in Sage Green, Summer Lilac, and Vanilla Cream colours with a vegan leather finish. Both phones will be available for purchase starting July 15th from Amazon India, motorola.com, and Reliance Digital stores. Pre-bookings are currently live for both phones for Rs 999.
