Spanner Customs, the comfort seat specialist, is back with their 2nd modification project. This time, they have gone one step ahead on the chart and prepared a full fledged custom motorcycle from a standard Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500.
The chrome laden stock machine was smartly turned into a dark theme cruiser by changing its base shade and giving it some highlights for further visual enhancement. Not just that, the seat was changed and further stuffed to create the most comfortable riding experience across its segment while HD Iron 883 style tank finish can also be found on the motorcycle. It took around 15 days to complete the project.
The visible parts like fuel tank, side panels and fenders were all covered in Matt Black while faux carbon fiber print was given to the upper side of the fuel tank. The chrome handlebar was replaced with a wider Black unit while Orange stripe can be seen running throughout the body.
The same is even present on the side panels. The already black finished engine looks even better with this theme. The rear backrest was removed from the Thunderbird 500 while multiple spoke alloy wheels were used to replace the spoke wheels of the motorcycle. Not to forget, the stock exhaust has also been replaced with a custom unit.
Royal Enfield motorcycles have a niche following in the Indian market. Those who love riding an Enfield know the difference between these motorcycles and others around the segment. The 346 cc, single cylinder engine on the same is good for 19.8 BHP and 28 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield even offer a bigger 499 cc, single cylinder engine with fuel injection, producing 27.2 BHP and 41.4 Nm of torque. The range starts from INR 1.09 lakh while goes over INR 2 lakh for the Continental GT.
