One of the most-awaited smartphone series, the Redmi Note 8, is all set to be launched in China on August 29, which has been hinted by Redmi’s General Manager Lui Weibing through China’s microblogging site Weibo. Reports are there that the Chinese smartphone company will be launching the Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Redmi Note 8 at an event in China.
Also, an image has been touring the internet that confirms the launch date in addition to giving an insight into a number of specifications that the upcoming smartphones will be having. Recently, a set of official rendered images of the Redmi Note 8 Pro has also leaked online ahead of the launch on August 29.
The smartphones will be launched alongside a Redmi smart LED TV which will have a 70-inch huge screen. The specifications about the Redmi Note 8/Note 8 Pro have been listed in the official teaser image that reveals that it will have a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup, which will be offered on the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
The smartphone’s fingerprint sensor has been placed below the camera setup and the back panel gives a glossy appearance similar to a glass, which is in contrast to the plastic back of the previous versions of the smartphones by Redmi.
Other specifications include 1/7″ 0.8-micrometer (μm) pixel 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 image sensor which is the latest version and is currently being used by Samsung. This image sensor is capable to provide you with a 16MP image quality even in low light. The new camera sensor is 38% bigger than the previous 48MP sensor, and it will click images with a resolution of 9248 x 6936 pixels.
ISOCELL Plus is a powerful technology that has the capability to deliver a higher colour fidelity in addition to 15% improvement in light sensitivity. The General Manager also confirmed that the Note 8 series will offer better functionalities as compared to the Note 7 Series.
